If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I had a lovely day out in London with TBP! In case you’re wondering what TBP is, it’s short for “The Blogger Program” which is an Influencer marketing platform. They enable bloggers worldwide to find, connect, & collaborate with different brands for campaigns. I’ve worked on a few different campaigns with TBP before and as a thank you they invited me to The House of Elemis for a facial! Following the pamper I went as their guest to the Avenue Restaurant in Mayfair for a 3 course lunch. Sounds like bliss doesnt it? Well is was! 😉
My initial appointment was at the House of Elemis. I was very excited about this as I just LOVE their products, and it gave me the chance to explore their line further. I was welcomed with a lovely cup of Rose tea followed be an in depth chat all about my skin. They have a unique machine which takes a photo of your skin magnified and it has the ability to assess what areas need more help! My warm and friendly therapist Sophie advised me on the Biotech Radiance Renew facial. She went though every step with me and asked me if it sounded okay. Okay was an understatement , it sounded amazing!!
Sophie then took me to my therapy room. She had me change into a soft robe which was hanging in a little wardrobe. She started the process on my skin which was a wonderful experience. It was VERY soothing indeed, especially the neck and shoulder massage! After my therapist finished removing all the dead skin with a simulator, and using the Biotech ion machine with all the amazing fragrant Elemis products she told me I was finished. My skin felt transformed, SO baby soft. I felt glowing. Sophie left me to change. When I came upstairs there was a smoothie shot, and a glass of champagne waiting for me. I didn’t drink much of the champagne because I was so hungry. I was looking forward to our next location at Avenue restaurant in Mayfair!
The food and the wine, and atmosphere at Avenue was perfect. I will be dreaming about that Sea Bream with bok choy for a while! Thank you so much TBP for such a lovely day out!
Beauty is something I never was really into in my youth, but as I’ve aged and my skin has changed I find its so important for me to stick to a consistent routine for my skin. For the last month I have done this and seen remarkable results! My skin is a combination of dry, and oily around the T-Zone. I tend to have hormonal breakouts around my chin and forehead, but this last month I have seen these dry up and I’m pretty sure its down to the consistency of taking care of my skin! So here’s a breakdown of my routine.
Mincellar water – I always tend to start with this, my go to is Garnier for sensitive skin. It helps take off my all my makeup so easily! When I don’t have this I feel I’m wasting my nice face wash to just take off my makeup, but doesn’t help with my skin! So I make sure I always start with this to prep the face wash.
Face wash – For this I have been enjoying my Liz Earle cleanse and polish cleanser. Once I’ve taken all my makeup off, I apply a pump of this thick and creamy wash all over my face and neck. It’s made with cocoa butter and lavender which is both moisturizing and calming, the perfect combo for my skin! You rinse this with a hot cloth that is also provided with the product. I find the cloth helps to exfoliate while rinsing.
Serum – Once my skin is all clean and dry I opt for a serum. The serum I’ve been using and LOVING is the Estelle & Thild brightening serum. The main reason I love this product is it evens out the skin tone. I have some scaring from my hormonal breakouts on my face, and after a month of usage these scars have 90% lightened. which means it really has worked! Also it smells amazing!
Eye Serum – I do love an undereye serum, and also I’m a big fan of Elemis! Their absolute eye is a super product, and great for everyday use!
Moisturizer – Loving this lightweight daily repair mask from 1A. Ive been using it as a moisturizer, and applying it just before my makeup. It really makes a great prep for foundation! This product is full of antioxidants which helps repair and brighten the skin.
Night Cream – Last but not least my favorite product is the Elemis Night Matrix! At night I stick with the same routine as above, but instead of using my repair mask I go for the Night Matrix. Its a total night repair for every night use. I love going to bed knowing my skin is being rejuvenated and wrinkles are being pumped with all the amazing ingredients. This is a must have if your skin needs a bounce back!
A pop of red has to be my fave! Recently I picked up this skirt from & Other Stories. I was quickly sold by its floaty mid length, side slit, and buttons! I wore it with my ‘new in the wardrobe’ silk top by Anthropolgie (which I’m currently obsessed with btw). This skirt would also be ideal worn with a band tee or a tied white blouse. Stick on a bunch of gold, add a straw bag ta daa – Outfit Goals.
I don’t usually talk about my makeup, but recently I was given some items from Nars , with products to try from their collaboration with Erdem. For my lips I used the Poison Rose Lip powder pallet . I fell in love at first try!! All the colors in the pallet are so beautiful! Highlighter and foundation are also Nars, I’ve linked everything for you below!
