Easter In VilleFranche-Sur-Mer

Welcome to the magical VilleFranche-Sur-Mer! Today we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus and it couldn’t of been in a more beautiful place. We had lunch next to the water surrounded by brightly colored buildings on one side and little boats on the other. Matty was obsessed with feeding the fish, so we copied the fishermen and gave them a bunch of french fries. I’m pretty sure they loved them!

Today I wore a new top from Pull & Bear, with my basic ripped vintage Levis shorts. My glasses are vintage and I found them in a Vide Grenier (Flea market) for 1.00 euro!! Have I told you how much I love finding deals 😉

I hope you enjoyed my photos from Ville Franche as much as I enjoyed being there!!!

Cannes In Vintage

We started off at the Cannes Gare SNCF aka train station. I saw this awesome 60’s billboard I just had to snap it. Behind me you can get a glimpse of the station! The sweater I’m wearing here is from the Zara sale 40% off! I just love the scalloped edge, go grab one before its gone!!

Theres so many fun things too look at in Cannes! I just love this chocolate shop window, just look at the lipstick chocolates!! <3

Next stop which is ALWAYS on my list when I come here is Steak and Shake! See it there on the left? Best spot and makes me feel like I’m in LA again having a burger and milkshake 🙂

It was very sunny yesterday so I decided to brave it and wear shorts, I paired it with this amazing vintage blouse I found at the flea market last weekend! I love this blouse, the lace and ruffle is so perfect!!

Vintage Varsity Jacket

Hey! It’s  been awhile since I posted an outfit update, but there’s a good reason for it! I’ve been getting things ready & preparing to open my Depop shop Oh Lover Vintage again.  I’ve just added a few pieces to it,  so check it out!! When spring hits so do  all the flea markets here in France.

These quintessentially French Flea Markets are called Vide Greniers which means  ‘Cleaning out the attic’!! Can you imagine all of the amazing things that are hidden in the attics of French homes? You are right if your imagination goes wild! Cruising through some of the best assortment of vintage is my kind of thing, and I always come back home with my arms full. Over the weekend I decided I was going to hit a few to search for some awesome stock for my shop, and yet again I wasn’t disappointed!

My love and understanding of vintage clothing goes back to my youth. I started as a teenager working in a ton of vintage stores all over London including Camden, Notting Hill & also Stockholm, Sweden. My favorite thing to do is to rummage  through piles of old clothes to find the  perfect items! Its such a thrill!!

I will do a blog post  very soon for you to help you know what  to look for when going to flea markets or car boot sales.

This red vintage varsity jacket with the initials A.C for American Collage is one of the pieces I came across on my treasure hunt!! If you follow me on Instagram I told you there was a secret to this jacket… Well the secret is that I paid just 3Euro for it!! I know I was shocked too!

I paired the jacket with a simple black turtle neck and some ripped Levis denim shorts. Its still not hot enough to wear just the shorts so fishnets (as always) was just the thing!

Through Rose Tinted Lenses

The not so glamorous life of an ordinary Wednesday! Today was just a normal day full of small errands and a super market shop. But no matter how uneventful my day is, I ALWAYS get ready for it. I mean why dress boring because you know your day is boring? I think putting thought to my daily preparation matters and sets the day off in a positive direction. I tend to anticipate my ‘good’ day in advance by getting ready for it , and then I’m prepared for whatever life throws at me! I never know who I’ll meet or run into, or if I will suddenly find myself in the uncomfortable situation with my toddler having tantrum in the street! 😉

So here’s some pics on my way to and from the Super Market! I live very local to everything so I walk everywhere, normally I bring a rolling trolley ( they call them chariot here) to the maket but today I just used Matty’s stroller. We walked by a kids clothing store giving out balloons , so Matty was super happy with his balloon and lolly pop while walking to the park today. This old French seaside town is full of pretty streets so walking around on a spring like day is a joy!

Vintage Lace Cami

Since when did March feel like summer?! I’m so enjoying this no jacket weather, it’s so liberating to walk out without a million layers! Today I opted for just two 😉!  Here’s my sunny Saturday look. I found this vintage lace cami deep in my wardrobe and thought it was time for its grand entrance. What better then to layer it over a basic white tee! This vintage silky satin lace top pimps out my everyday basic denim look.
It adds a feminine personality , with a casual twist provided by the Converse! Lately I’ve noticed a lot of cropped tops and even bikini tops worn and tied over T’s.  I just think we’re all a little over anxious for summer dressing and this is one great way to wear the tee for a bit of coverage, and layer over them what we ‘really’ want to be wearing!!

What do you do to dress up your t-shirts ?

Wishing you a great weekend!
