Easter In VilleFranche-Sur-Mer

Welcome to the magical VilleFranche-Sur-Mer! Today we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus and it couldn’t of been in a more beautiful place. We had lunch next to the water surrounded by brightly colored buildings on one side and little boats on the other. Matty was obsessed with feeding the fish, so we copied the fishermen and gave them a bunch of french fries. I’m pretty sure they loved them!

Today I wore a new top from Pull & Bear, with my basic ripped vintage Levis shorts. My glasses are vintage and I found them in a Vide Grenier (Flea market) for 1.00 euro!! Have I told you how much I love finding deals ūüėČ

I hope you enjoyed my photos from Ville Franche as much as I enjoyed being there!!!

Cannes In Vintage

We started off at the Cannes Gare SNCF aka train station. I saw this awesome 60’s billboard I just had to snap it. Behind me you can get a glimpse of the station! The sweater I’m wearing here is from the Zara sale 40% off! I just love the scalloped edge, go grab one before its gone!!

Theres so many fun things too look at in Cannes! I just love this chocolate shop window, just look at the lipstick chocolates!! <3

Next stop which is ALWAYS on my list when I come here is Steak and Shake! See it there on the left? Best spot and makes me feel like I’m in LA again having a burger and milkshake ūüôā

It was very sunny yesterday so I decided to brave it and wear shorts, I paired it with this amazing vintage blouse I found at the flea market last weekend! I love this blouse, the lace and ruffle is so perfect!!

Vintage Varsity Jacket

Hey! It’s¬† been awhile since I posted an outfit update, but there’s a good reason for it! I’ve been getting things ready & preparing to open my Depop shop Oh Lover Vintage again. ¬†I’ve just added a few pieces to it, ¬†so check it out!! When spring hits so do¬† all the flea markets here in France.

These quintessentially French Flea Markets are called Vide Greniers which means ¬†‘Cleaning out the attic’!! Can you imagine all of the amazing things that are hidden in the attics of French homes? You are right if your imagination goes wild! Cruising through some of the best assortment of vintage is my kind of thing, and I always come back home with my arms full. Over the weekend I decided I was going to hit a few to search for some awesome stock for my shop, and yet again I wasn’t disappointed!

My love and understanding of vintage clothing goes back to my youth. I started as a teenager working in a ton of vintage stores all over London including Camden, Notting Hill & also Stockholm, Sweden. My favorite thing to do is to rummage  through piles of old clothes to find the  perfect items! Its such a thrill!!

I will do a blog post  very soon for you to help you know what  to look for when going to flea markets or car boot sales.

This red vintage varsity jacket with the initials A.C for American Collage is one of the pieces I came across on my treasure hunt!! If you follow me on Instagram I told you there was a secret to this jacket… Well the secret is that I paid just 3Euro for it!! I know I was shocked too!

I paired the jacket with a simple black turtle neck and some ripped Levis denim shorts. Its still not hot enough to wear just the shorts so fishnets (as always) was just the thing!

Antibes, a place called home!

Doesn’t this place look super amazing?¬†

At the moment it’s called home! ¬†This weekend was so sunny ¬†I thought I’d take a stroll with my camera and snap up some pretty spots to share with you guys!

I live in a coastal town in France called Antibes. It’s situated between Cannes and Nice, I’m pretty lucky eh?! Known for the ‘super yacht’ industry, ¬†Antibes gets quite sleepy here ¬†in the winter months, but in the summer ¬†it’s bulging with tourists and activities! ¬†I originally came to France from London to start working on the yachts, but life had other plans and I became a mom instead! So I just ended up staying! It’s been a fairly rocky road¬† for me here, lots of ups and downs. Living in a different culture has advantages and disadvantages! My time here has been wonderful/stressful/exciting/emotional!!! A true¬†life changing experience! I wouldn’t have changed it ( well maybe some tweak’s here and there!) for anything. I’ve been here for just over 4 years now, and to be honest I’m looking forward to my next adventure!¬†

Here are some pics taken in my neighborhood in Antibes Old Town over the weekend. One never knows what surprises will be awaiting you when you turn a corner! Antibes is filled with charm and is magically beautiful. On the weekends I¬† wake to the smell of fresh croissants baked in the boulangerie around the corner. The street below my apartment echoes with sounds of the locals laughing and dining. Wood fired pizza and ‘pichets’ of wine are scoffed at noon, and two hours later most are back in their beds for the traditional Mediterranean nap! The legendary C√īte d’Azur beaches are a walk away, with the colour of the sea is just as it’s name- the coast of azure blue.

With warmer weather making its debut today, it won’t be long until we walk down to my local beach for some summery posts!

Stay tuned!
