If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I had a lovely day out in London with TBP! In case you’re wondering what TBP is, it’s short for “The Blogger Program” which is an Influencer marketing platform. They enable bloggers worldwide to find, connect, & collaborate with different brands for campaigns. I’ve worked on a few different campaigns with TBP before and as a thank you they invited me to The House of Elemis for a facial! Following the pamper I went as their guest to the Avenue Restaurant in Mayfair for a 3 course lunch. Sounds like bliss doesnt it? Well is was! 😉
My initial appointment was at the House of Elemis. I was very excited about this as I just LOVE their products, and it gave me the chance to explore their line further. I was welcomed with a lovely cup of Rose tea followed be an in depth chat all about my skin. They have a unique machine which takes a photo of your skin magnified and it has the ability to assess what areas need more help! My warm and friendly therapist Sophie advised me on the Biotech Radiance Renew facial. She went though every step with me and asked me if it sounded okay. Okay was an understatement , it sounded amazing!!
Sophie then took me to my therapy room. She had me change into a soft robe which was hanging in a little wardrobe. She started the process on my skin which was a wonderful experience. It was VERY soothing indeed, especially the neck and shoulder massage! After my therapist finished removing all the dead skin with a simulator, and using the Biotech ion machine with all the amazing fragrant Elemis products she told me I was finished. My skin felt transformed, SO baby soft. I felt glowing. Sophie left me to change. When I came upstairs there was a smoothie shot, and a glass of champagne waiting for me. I didn’t drink much of the champagne because I was so hungry. I was looking forward to our next location at Avenue restaurant in Mayfair!
The food and the wine, and atmosphere at Avenue was perfect. I will be dreaming about that Sea Bream with bok choy for a while! Thank you so much TBP for such a lovely day out!
With summer in full force I shouldnt be thinking about autumn just yet, but I am!
I’ve been starting to collect some new pieces for my wardrobe that will help me transition into the cooler season. My top choice for the next coming months is the oversized shirt! I first saw this utilitarian shirt by Ghospell when I went to visit their sister brand Sister Jane off the lovely Portobello Road for their new season showcase! I instantly fell in love with this shirt and had to take it home with me.
The oversized shirt works in so many ways. Wear it with everything, even over a maxi dress or tucked into a pair of mom jeans. You can even wear it open with a silk tunic underneath or tied in the front. Now can you see why this is such a great transition piece?!
I chose to wear my new Ghospell shirt with my favorite vintage Levis 501 shorts (which were actually jeans, until I took the scissors to them) and my much loved Beret.
If you follow me on Instagram then you would have seen my new baby. Have you guessed yet?? Its my new/old vintage Chanel bag. I found it in a designer consignment store, and was over-the-moon! The condition is pretty worn on the inside but that didnt stop myself from making the leap and buying this baby! It will be hard for me to not want to wear it with every outfit. I also found a pink vintage Dior bag and a Chanel Scarf. Let me know if you would like me to do a post on my vintage designer finds?
This is my first blog post in my new house, YAY! If you’ve moved before, then you know it can be super stressful. It doesn’t help when all of us get hit by the flu at the same time! Actually, I move so much, this event should really be second nature by now! We’ve left the busy city of London, for a quieter Surrey. The main reason why we moved was A for more space, and B so Matty could have a garden to play in. Finding both these things in Notting Hill is slim to non!
For today’s blog post I wanted to introduce you to my new classic loafers, by Prof. In my mind, these are an example of chic & classic. I’ve been looking for a perfect yet affordable loafer for a while now, and so happy I’ve discovered these. Made in Italy with its over-sized gold chain makes these babies super chic! I’ve paired them with a classic strapless black jumpsuit and an over-sized straw hat! Why have I not had such a classic shoe in my wardrobe until now?!!
A few days ago I was invited to the Amazon Fashion Event #AMFASHPACK at their photography warehouse in Hoxton, East London. Thankfully they provided a car for me because being a West Londoner, Hoxton feels like a million miles away! In addition, it was pouring with rain outside and my yellow suede shoes ( had to wear them) which screamed summer al fresco wouldn’t have made it via public transport! I didn’t come to the event wearing this outfit, actually a day before the event an Amazon package arrived at my door filled with amazing beauty products and a perfect pair of Warehouse nautical wide leg jeans (here) and a stunning Love Moschino handbag (here). So of course I wore them! I didn’t manage to get any photos of that outfit on the night ( Having fun trying on too many other things from the Amazon Find range!). No doubt I will wear it again for an Instagram post.
They had a great itinerary lined up for us including trying on products from their new seasons line and we were all snapping photos of each other. Pictured above is the outfit I chose. I love it! I have been wearing the FIND line for a few months now, and can honestly say I really love their products and the quality is fantastic. If you haven’t checked out FIND yet, I’d recommend you do! After we tried on the outfits we were invited to a delicious exotic dinner hosted by Bala Baya which included hummus, pita, and salmon with rose petals and a fresh tomato relish which was so YUM! If you follow me on Instagram then I’m pretty sure you may think I only eat burgers and fries, but I really do eat other things too – well maybe not salad though!
