This is my first blog post in my new house, YAY! If you’ve moved before, then you know it can be super stressful. It doesn’t help when all of us get hit by the flu at the same time! Actually, I move so much, this event should really be second nature by now! We’ve left the busy city of London, for a quieter Surrey. The main reason why we moved was A for more space, and B so Matty could have a garden to play in. Finding both these things in Notting Hill is slim to non!
For today’s blog post I wanted to introduce you to my new classic loafers, by Prof. In my mind, these are an example of chic & classic. I’ve been looking for a perfect yet affordable loafer for a while now, and so happy I’ve discovered these. Made in Italy with its over-sized gold chain makes these babies super chic! I’ve paired them with a classic strapless black jumpsuit and an over-sized straw hat! Why have I not had such a classic shoe in my wardrobe until now?!!
‘Gabrielle wears denim in double denim’! Dontcha think this is a very fitting outfit post for my Blog?!
I recently got hold of this kimono style jacket from And Other Stories ( A store which I adore BTW). The wide sleeves and belt just sold me right away! I couldnt wait to get my hands on it! A few weeks back I saw Matilda Djerf wearing one similar and it inspired me so much.

I feel like this Denim Kimono will go with so much, and it’s the perfect lightweight wardrobe staple to transition into next season! So if you’re looking for your ‘coming into spring’ lightweight jacket, I give this one a thumbs up!
I wore it with a classic pair of high waist jeans, an over-sized sweater, boots, and of course a beret!!
Below I’ve made a list of my favorite Kimono Denim Jackets for you to shop
Meet one of my favourite pieces of style- the iconic Jumpsuit!
There’s no item of clothing that has encapsulated the words fun, cool, chic and timeless as the Jumpsuit has!
Over the years it found its way from its original intent in 1919 as a garment to be worn while parachuting out of planes, (hence the name ‘jumpsuit’ ) and soon after they were called ‘coveralls’- as seen on aviators (Let’s think Amelia Earhart). Evolving, with the slightest push of elegance, the jumpsuit morphed into ‘lounging pyjamas’ which were worn on yachts, on the beach and at home entertaining. Oh! , and now the latest occasion the Jumpsuit has commandeered, think about that killer Jumpsuit for a moment Solange Knowles down the aisle for her wedding! Looks like the humble parachute jump wear is continuing to evolve!
These days all of the above occasions apply and they are a wonderful easy ‘no think’ option to wear alone or with a simple top. Slip it on and go- its like no fuss wear,
Its January and its COLD, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing dainty pastel tones to match the charming houses in Notting Hill!
A few weeks ago I was contacted by John Smedley for their S/S18’ collection. While scrolling though the new collection I was so inspired by this jumper. The oversized fit, bell sleeves, bow details, and lilac color sold me!
What do you think about this color for Spring/ Summer?
