The oversized shirt

With summer in full force I shouldnt be thinking about autumn just yet, but I am!

I’ve been starting to collect some new pieces for my wardrobe that will help me transition into the cooler season. My top choice for the next coming months is the oversized shirt! I first saw this utilitarian shirt by Ghospell when I went to visit their sister brand Sister Jane off the lovely Portobello Road for their new season showcase! I instantly fell in love with this shirt and had to take it home with me.

The oversized shirt works in so many ways. Wear it with everything, even over a maxi dress or tucked into a pair of mom jeans. You can even wear it open with a silk tunic underneath or tied in the front. Now can you see why this is such a great transition piece?!

I chose to wear my new Ghospell shirt with my favorite vintage Levis 501 shorts (which were actually jeans, until I  took the scissors to them) and my much loved Beret.

If you follow me on Instagram then you would have seen my new baby. Have you guessed yet?? Its my new/old vintage Chanel bag. I found it in a designer consignment store, and was over-the-moon! The condition is pretty worn on the inside but that didnt stop myself from making the leap and buying this baby! It will be hard for me to not want to wear it with every outfit. I also found a pink vintage Dior bag and a Chanel Scarf.  Let me know if you would like me to do a post on my vintage designer finds?

Feeling Fruity

When I saw this dress online It was love at first sight, I just had to have it! I don’t usually wear prints outside of the usual polka-dots, stripes and of course cherries. So citrus was perfect to add to the collection. The ‘Midi’ is also a new thing for me. I’m usually a mini dress kind of girl, but since I recently bought that simple black midi dress from Amazon Find I’ve found myself wanting more! If your a mini kind of girl (like me) then I recommend jumping into the Midi and giving it a go. Who knows you maybe be transformed 😉

I’m wearing this dress casually around the house and barefoot was on the cards for the afternoon! I also tried it with a gold chain belt (seen above) which I adore! This dress would look great styled with some strappy heeled sandals and a little straw bag dontcha think!

A pop of red

A pop of red has to be my fave! Recently I picked up this skirt from & Other Stories. I was quickly sold by its floaty mid length, side slit, and buttons! I wore it with my ‘new in the wardrobe’ silk top by Anthropolgie (which I’m currently obsessed with btw).  This skirt would also be ideal worn with a band tee or a tied white blouse. Stick on a bunch of gold, add a straw bag ta daa – Outfit Goals.

I don’t usually talk about my makeup, but recently I was given some items from Nars , with products to try from their collaboration with Erdem. For my lips I used the Poison Rose  Lip powder pallet . I fell in love at first try!! All the colors in the pallet are so beautiful! Highlighter and foundation are also Nars, I’ve linked everything for you below!

Polka-Dot Playsuit

Its June and the weekend,  I’ve got relaxing planned on the agenda. So I’ve slipped into the most comfortable little playsuit by Nasty Gal. This is the first playsuit I’ve worn this year, and since a holiday is probably out the the question I’ve decided to have one here at home 😉

Here’s to a relaxing weekend!

This is my first blog post in my new house, YAY! If you’ve moved before,  then you know it can be super stressful. It doesn’t help when all of us get hit by the flu at the same time! Actually, I move so much, this event should really be second nature by now! We’ve left the busy city of London,  for a quieter Surrey. The main reason why we moved was A for more space, and B so Matty could have a garden to play in. Finding both these things in Notting Hill is slim to non!
For today’s blog post I wanted to introduce you to my new classic loafers, by Prof. In my mind, these are an example of chic & classic. I’ve been looking for a perfect yet affordable loafer for a while now, and so happy I’ve discovered these. Made in Italy with its over-sized gold chain makes these babies super chic! I’ve paired them with a classic strapless black jumpsuit and an over-sized straw hat!  Why have I not had such a classic shoe in my wardrobe until now?!!
